Ceramic and marble floors can add a touch of class to your home but have different advantages and disadvantages. Ceramic for example is not strong and will not hold a lot of weight, while marble is high-maintenance. Marble however has gained great popularity recently and can help cool a hot room, while ceramic does not stain, burn or fade easily and is durable. (Click on the picture)

Marble Floor Tiles

Marble floors have greatly increased in popularity over the last few years and are no longer just the rich man’s domain though they still look very classy. Marble generally comes in either white or black, and as tiles or slabs. For hot areas marble also offers the advantage of cooling the room in which it is installed as it takes a long time to get warm. This of course can be a disadvantage in cooler areas; another disadvantage is that marble is a high-maintenance floor covering that often requires specialist care.
